Convention 2010 will open Tuesday, evening October 26, with Opening Ceremonies. We have made this change in scheduling to allow you more time for connecting with old and new friends before seminars and exhibits open. There is going to be a lot for you to see and do at this year's convention.
Wednesday morning starts a full schedule of seminars, exhibits and fun activities.
Tours: Plan to come early. The Arizona Chapter, our host chapter, has scheduled some great entertainment and arranged for some wonderful tours, offered Saturday through Tuesday, that will provide an introduction to Arizona. We our proud of our rich cultural history, our 300-plus days of sunshine each year, our rugged mountains, imposing red rocks, stunning sunsets and incredibly diverse desert landscapes. We hope, when you plan your convention itinerary, that you allow extra time to discover why more than 250 RVW members make this state their permanent or temporary home.
Events: Also scheduled on Monday and Tuesday are maintenance classes, led again this year by RVW member Rachel Harp, a pickleball experience and our always popular golf outing. Scheduled on Monday and Tuesday are maintenance classes, led again this year by FreeWheelers Chapter member Rachel Harp and, new this year, a pickleball experience led by Cascadia Chapter member Bonnie Blossom. Seminars and exhibits: Convention seminars and exhibits will open Wednesday morning. You will have opportunities throughout Convention 2010 to join in small-group seminars focusing on RV maintenance, technologies that can enhance your on-the-road experiences and hobbies and outdoor activities of special interest to RVers and a variety of other topics of interest to women. A list of seminars will be posted at the beginning of October.
Vendors: Bring a shopping list with you. You are sure to find a few things you need in our exhibit hall. Exhibitors will be offering a wide range of products and services, including maintenance and cleaning supplies, RV toys, crafting supplies you can take on the road and personal products designed for women who travel.
Be sure to stop In Thursday afternoon for the vendor reception. Walk around with tasty sandwiches and introduce yourself to the vendors. There will be time to chat and learn about the products they offer. A complete list of vendors will be available October 1.
